ok so orginally I was going to feed Innova holistic cat food. But when I went to the store locator I found that the closest innova retailer was 74 miles away and I really cannot drive that far for cat food. I only have access to petco. I found out Vick Van Patterns Natural Balance food can be found in petco stores.
Is that brand good? if not what else in petco do you reccomend for my kitty?
I only have access to petco, is Natural Balance a good cat food? (read details)?

are you aware that you can order any kind of pet food online. some will even ship right to your door for free if you buy a certain amount. try dogfoodsecrets.com. they sell a book on dog food but they give web sites for places that sell both dog and cat food. you can also find comparison charts for both ingredents and prices. theres much information if you google. it, amazing what goes into your pet food. i don’t want my cats to be eating supermarket food. you won’t either.
That’s a pretty good brand.
Another that I’d recommend from Petco is:
Castor & Pollux "Natural Ultramix"
It’s what I feed my cat, and she goes NUTS for it.
I use Natural Balance, canned and dry food. It’s not the highest quality and it is good quality and probably one of the best you can get at Petco.
Natural Balance is a much better food than the standard cat food available, and my cat actually likes the taste much better than EVO. Their wet food actually ranks up fairly highly when compared to even the EVO and Wellnesses of the world. I think it’s a fine choice, just try to combine a wet and dry diet and not feed all dry.
NB is a decent brand of food. I used to feed it to my girls. There was nothing in the list of ingredients that are of concern.
I’m talking about the canned food – I don’t feed any dry food.
From what I remember of Petco, NB is the ONLY decent food they sell. I’d stick with that!
