@crazytazy im sorry for the lenguage but FUCK people who declaw cats or any kind of animal, they say oooh i have a baby and might get hurt, or oooh he scratches the furniture, or whatever stupid excuse they can come up with, but if u dont want a cat to scratch thing and people just simple dont have a cat and buy a mouse or a fish or something, u should adapt to the cat no the other way around if u dont have or dont want to give the time to train them and adapt to him the dont have a cat

i doubt he would hurt them intentionally at this point. he may start playing aggressively with them and they might be injured from that. if play looks too rough, separate them. meow.

I have five cats four male one female all of them save the two youngest are not related. When I found the two babies I though for sure my second oldest duchess (6) would adopt them because they were according to the vet just under a week old. But to my surprise Gabriel (4) my large black Tom cat an my eldest cat Sebastian (age 22 human) were the ones who decided to care for the babys after Duchess tried to eat them.

People may tell you that males are selfish don’t care for kids, but this is obviosly untrue ;) A female is just as likely to eat their offspring as the males are.

My grandmother has a cat that is like a 100 years old. Seriously, we’ve had since I was a kid. I can’t imagine how I will feel when she’s gone. Anyway she has always been able to take care of her own kittens as well as others. (she even let a puppy breast feed once) Recently we got another mother with her 3 little babies. (One of the kittens was stolen and the mother ran away.) Even though our cat (Lana) had just given birth to kittens of her own, she still took care of the others as well.

my Poppy was 2 weeks old when their mom left them.He took over a mother role and cleaned 2 other sisters on the way that mom does.(eat feaces and clean them)He was first born and largest of them all, also he knew where the nest was even the first day of his life when I took kitties away and looked are they going to go back behind the closet. He did, straight away, other one much later and one got lost in the room. He choose me and I am honoured with his choice till today!kisses&<3 to your catboy!

animals have feelings too, to their own species and to their humans. If you bring up a kitten with love they will repay you in kind in the future. animals are also more intelligent then we gave them credit for. Please love you kitties and find them good homes.

from this I can’t see that he would ever hurt them….some are cranky with kittens….some aren’t…this one is such a dear…..he probably also had a good upbringing with his own mother cat….

I believe you can get gay animals just the same as people and in that maybe his maternal feelings have been dealt with….

Maybe he wants kittens one day or something..I mean it’s not rare to find males that will take care of young kits

If he’s fixed he doesn’t care about breeding so he doesn’t see them as being in the way or as being a threat. Sadly unfixed male cats will often kill or hurt very young kittens, especially if the mother is around because that will put her back into heat so he can breed. If he’s not fixed, the mother isn’t around so he has no reason to see them as being in his way. Besides male cats seem to be naturally affectionate.
